So?
I live in an apartment that has two rooms – that is, one whole room besides the room that I call my bedroom. Plus a kitchen, etc, etc. And I live there alone, thankyouverymuch. Suffice to say that I am fond of The Good Life.
For some reason, that seems to raise the eyebrows of quite a few of the occasional visitors. You have a washing machine? Yes, clothes need to be washed, don’t they? You have a microwave? Yeah, I love cooking. So a micro makes perfect sense to me (subtext: your father what goes?).
The capital one came this weekend from friend of my landlords...You have all this space to yourself? My answer (and this, I have decided I will tell anyone who even as much as hints of taking this topic up!) Yes! All to myself. And guess what, I even have two saucepans to make tea in – a big one and a small one... when I feel like drinking enough tea for two people, I use the big one, at other times I use the smaller one. And your problem is?
If this doesn’t shut them up, I don’t know what will.

Dont be rude child!! You seem to be forgetting that you live in Mumbai...all that space for one person in a space starved city like Mumbai probably seems like unbelieveably sinful luxury to all those people.

I wonder the next would be whom do you live-in with... and if u say none, it mite boil down to that you are a gay and actualy lyin about it.. :-)
And I fully endorse ur stayin alone, I do so in Blore and in a place that mite be burning my pocket a bit, but i wd rather want my solitude at the end of the day... Sayan

@ ron - No, no, you miss the point... it's not the premium nature of space in Mumbai, but the fact that most people can't seem to understand the necessity of living well if you are alone.
@ cyberoam - Like I was telling a friend yesterday... what I get for keying my way in to an empty flat night after night is enjoying the lack of responsibility of HAVING to strike conversation with someone.

Hi dear...
I think it's fabulous to be twenty-six and single, live well, have two saucepans or more and drink as many cups of tea as you prefer..or not.
Not that I regret being thirty six and married but twenty six was FUN
Enjoy before life catches up. Much love.

whatever it is, it is a pleasure to know that a guy takes so much interest in his lifestyle. Cooking, cleaning, everything taken care off, and not by someone else but by you, WOW!
I'm planning to move out of my parents accomodation, looking for good help, interested? :-) *grins sheepishly*.
Oh and by the way bought mom the cellphone yesterday that she was so keen on.

@ Chordi - Before life catches up! I shall keep that in mind, o-sibling-who's-walked-the-earth-a-decade-longer *deep deferential bow*
@ Arun - The link doesn't work. The tag will take some time and thought...so wait for it!
@ motheater - I don't! I eat dinner in the office canteen! HOw about that?
@dreamyeyes - Oh, thanks! But I guess if you've stayed alone as long as I have, it's not that big a deal...you can't live dirty al your life, you see!
How does your mother like the phone? Mine never figured out how to disconnect a call after the conversation...and at times my father would wait for the dialtone before he started dialling...
